Black Yield Institute operates in Food Supply Chain work and Movement Support & Organizing.

 

Food Supply Chain: Food security and self-determination through farming and growing is critical. We are
developing a model of supporting urban agriculture through bolstering, supporting, and securing resources to
establish new projects and expand existing gardens and farms. Food Supply Chain Operates through:

 
Movement Support & Organizing: Research and knowledge creation are the backbone of effective strategy development and subsequent power-building tactics. Black Yield will utilize community-based participatory action research to develop targeted interventions, determine capacity for independence, and to support knowledge sharing and storytelling. We will also contribute to knowledge creation by identifying and mapping the many Black food and food-related assets and opportunities. Movement support and organizing operates through:
