Food Stories

Created during a multi-week digital storytelling workshop at Black Yield Institute’s offices, Food Stories asked participants to craft stories based on the role that food has played in their lives.

Seeing Sovereignty Interviews

These interviews were conducted at Black Yield’s Cherry Hill Urban Community Garden. They were originally set to live at the garden as a living museum dedicated to the lives and experiences of multiple generations of Cherry Hill residents.

Black Yield Institute was forced to vacate the land before the project could come to fruition however, it’s interviews still live on within the Black Life Archive as well as within the pages of our book Seeing Sovereignty: Stories of Cherry Hill.
